"Drive-In Movie" is the award winning, folk/alternative country album from Canadian singer-songwriter Fred Eaglesmith. In 1996, Eaglesmith received Canada's prestigious Juno Award--the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy Award--for "Best Roots & Traditional Solo Album." Told from the perspective of the Ontario farmer he still is, Eaglesmith's songs are sometimes poignant, sometimes darkly humorous and sometimes both. "Two-Lane Blacktop" is an instrumental guitar album that has a style and class all its own. The album includes eight original songs and four classics. Bill's compositions push the boundaries of guitar playing and create a beautiful sound. A variety of instruments from Bill's collections give this album a unique feel. He plays on such gems as a 1938 Rickenbacker Lap Steel, a 1950 Fender "No Caster", a 1959 Les Paul Reissue, and a 1961 Martin D-21 among others. The acoustical sound on "One By One" will magically fill the room, and the up beat title song "Two-Lane Blacktop" is so infectious it will have you tapping your feet and wanting to play along.
